Our journey plan

Our trip to USA is about to start in about a week, so let’s take a look at what we have planned for the journey!

We will begin our tour across the US from Big Apple, so hello New York! We’ll fly from Finland in few batches, but the last Finnair plane will arrive on 15th of August. New York -part of our trip consists of a excursion, a lecture at Columbia University and some sightseeing and a Broadway musical.

After a few days in NYC, we will head for Seattle. In Seattle we will visit the biggest companies on our trip, for example Microsoft’s main campus at Redmond. We also plan to visit Startup Seattle which is a Seattle based organisation fostering startups. After four days we’ll fly off to San Francisco.

We have divided San Francisco Bay area into two parts. First we will be hanging around in Silicon Valley and then in San Francisco itself. In Silicon Valley we’ll visit Stanford University, a couple of startups and Nokia’s Sunny Vale office.

After seeing the most fascinating startup hub in the world we’ll drive to San Francisco. There we’ll for instance visit McKinsey and other companies' offices. We’ll also have time for some sightseeing, such as Alcatraz prison.

After touring in Bay Area, our road trip to Los Angeles will start! We’ll drive the highway 1 all the way to Los Angeles. In LA we’ll marvel the American way of doing films, make excursions and go to a baseball game.

Having visited LA, we’ll head to our last destination, Las Vegas. Visiting Vegas is mainly focused on having fun, visiting Grand Canyon etc. After Vegas, already three weeks have gone by, and it’s time to fly back home. Hopefully these three weeks will teach us a lot and set some new ideas brooding. New post will be up soon, so keep following us!
